Tea Towel Time
I have a love affair with flour sack towels. Some may think that perhaps I have more of them than I need, but I would counter that one can ever have too many tea towels.
Tea towels are useful and beautiful in numerous ways. They are/make:
Perfect for wrapping dough while it rises and proofs, keeping hot rolls to keep warm, and storing produce in the fridge;
Super absorbent making them excellent for drying dishes or soaking up spills;
Lightweight and 100% cotton or linen so they dry quickly after becoming damp;
Gorgeous and fun ways to add a splash of color to a kitchen;
Easy and practical seasonal and holiday decorations;
Wonderful shower, hostess, housewarming, thank you, and holiday gifts;
And, quick, efficient, sustainable, and lovely gift wrap.
There are quite literally thousands upon thousands of tea towel designs. Last night I was seeing scrolling pages of tea towels when I closed my eyes to go to sleep.
